My Bio
As an art critic once noted, Aaron Michael Moore III's love of mankind and
nature shows in his work. Mr. Moore came to art by a circuitous
route, having pursued a number of vocations. Yet, his arrival to the art scene
seems a matter of destiny.

He has lived and worked in many places, and has traveled widely. This diversity of experience,
along with a strong sense of family, history, and place, has given Mr. Moore an expansive
view on life and the world that has been a constant source of strength in his
quest for artistic truth and true wisdom. His art is a window to a
uniquely personal world, and the view is impressive.

You will find a wonderful range of experiences in his work, from realism to
fantasy. He is at home in multiple media and varied styles and draws upon
a wide array of subject matter for inspiration. He sees a certain beauty
and integrity in variety.

"This is the true measure of an artist worth: a tangible record
of his search for truth and wisdom.
Some artists develop a commercially rewarding style, and give up the
quest, in order to 'milk it for all it's worth.' Before long, their work begins to
lose it's vitality. They grow complacent, and their art becomes
dull. The road to financial success eventually leads them to stagnation
and death.

"If Picasso hadn't ventured out of his Blue Period, and if Matisse, in
his 80's, hadn't picked up a pair of scissors to do those vibrant paper
cut-outs, both might still be considered outstanding artists; however, their
greatness lies not only in their abilities, but also in their lifelong search for
new forms of artistic expression, new ways of looking at the world.

"My paintings are windows into my life's experiences. My first love is
mankind and I feel his anatomy is the most expressive subject I can
depict. My love for nature is conveyed in my landscapes. Man's
creations--from buildings, to automobiles, to a simple wheel--all fill me with
intrigue and feed my thirst of the wonders of engineering. To truly
achieve wisdom and love for all, I belive you must search the depths of your
inner self and environment. The resulting effect of my search is my
work. The varied medium, techniques, and subjects, from realism to
abstracts are proof of my search. This journey through life will be a
fruitful one due to this love of knowledge and interaction with my
fellowman."
